Portfolio
Welcome to Xin's portfolio! I enjoy using visualization to tell stories. My research focuses on enhancing student engagement through hands-on activities, gamification, and exploring user experiences in AI curriculum evaluation. With a background in developing curricula, designing lesson plans, and conducting impactful research, I aim to inspire future educators and students to embrace the dynamic interplay of science, technology, and creativity in learning.
Game-based Learning
Game-based learning is an instructional approach that incorporates games into the learning process to achieve specific educational goals. It can be implemented through digital games, board games, simulations, or any structured play activity designed to teach specific skills or knowledge.
Ocean Adventure is a prototype of a video game. In this game, players embark on thrilling underwater missions to find hidden treasures, help endangered sea creatures, and tackle environmental challenges.

As a team, players will match the food chains, clean up plastic waste, immerse in ocean currents, and engage in STEM and engineering design tasks to protect coral reefs, all while exploring the wonders of the ocean.

Designed to teach ocean science and environmental stewardship, Ocean Adventure Game fosters collaboration, critical thinking, and a love for marine life, making it an unforgettable journey for all ages.
